DognDust are Songwriters, Music Producers and Recording Artists based in Manchester, UK

Chris and Frank met in November 2018 through an online dating site. This led onto us getting together and subsequently we came up with the idea of writing a song.

Up until then Chris had never considered writing or performing music, but Frank had the musical expertise and access to recording facilities so they decided to "have a go". They went on to write their first song "Online" which describes how they met and how their relationship developed.

They both enjoyed the experience and it spurred them on to write more songs. They decided to release all the tracks in January 2020, encouraged by friends and family. Since then they've spent their time during COVID lockdown and beyond writing more songs.

Our meeting was by mere chance and as the song goes, we met online.

Both in our 60s, retired and single, we turned to the internet to find a new partner. What we didn't expect was that this would lead to a new venture in music.

Although Chris had always had an interest in music, she had never performed or written songs before. In fact her working life had been in IT.

Frank, on the other hand, had many years of experience in the entertainment industry, having played in bands in the UK and abroad and as a DJ.

In 2018, about 4 months after our initial meeting, we thought about writing a song together. We'd met on an online dating site, so this was our inspiration and the song "Online" was the result. We enjoyed collaborating, with Frank doing the music and Chris the lyrics/vocals, and this spurred us on to write more songs.

Since then we've written and recorded other songs and we've enjoyed doing this immensely. Initially we only did this for our own enjoyment. However, we played the songs to friends and family and they encouraged us to release the music into the big wide world. So In January 2020 we did just that, and the songs are now available for all to listen to.

Our music is inspired by pop and dance music of the 80s, with influences from Chic, Pink Floyd and Level 42 to name but a few!
